Objectives
TECANET is a platform for Tamu students and professionals with the following objectives:
- To support Tamu and indigenous students as well as young professionals in their studies and professional career development.
- To establish networking among Tamu and indigenous students, youth, professionals from within Nepal and abroad, in order to promote exchange of experiences, expertise and learning.
- To conduct studies and advocate about the fundamental rights of the Tamu and indigenous people for the access, rights and ownership of natural resources.
- To empower the Tamu, indigenous and other marginalized population through research and dissemination of such findings on their socioeconomic and cultural aspects.
- To promote networking and coordination with other partner organizations.
- To publish TECANET bulletins and publications.
- To accept grants and donations from national and international organizations with the permission of the Government of Nepal in order to support the running of TECANET activities and programmes.
