This is an official online site of the Tamu Education and Career Advancement Network (TECANET), a non-profit, apolitical organization registered with the Government of Nepal.
The idea of forming Tamu Education and Career Advancement Network (TECANET) was first conceived in mid-2004 as an informal network mainly for young Tamu students and professionals. It is a platform for sharing and exchanging of experiences and expertise in an effort to address the challenges faced by majority of Tamu youth in their education and career development endeavours.
There was also a felt need to develop wider networking among the Tamu professionals, not only here in Nepal but also abroad, that would help in advancing their career goals. Hence, some Tamu professionals from the USA and Nepal sharing similar ideas and vision envisaged the formation of TECANET. Through this platform, it is hoped that some support could be offered to the upcoming young Gurungs as well as provide an opportunity to network among the Tamu professionals worldwide.
